I was at C4 (the Central Canadian Comic-Con) this weekend in Winnipeg.

It was a pretty cool convention. Met some cool local artists, sold some stuff, sold better than Fallcon (in St. Paul Minnesota) and learned about the Central Canadian comic scene.

It's very different from what I've read about the Toronto scene, which is where most of the famous Canadian Comic artists come from. C4 was a lot like Fallcon, and a little bit like one of the bigger conventions. I think Fallcon should consider bringing in celebrity guests as a means to draw a bigger crowd. There were a LOT of people there. Definitely some came only to see Adam West (I mean "Adam We"), Julie Newmar and Dirk Benedict. Cewbacca was there, but I've met him twice already. It was fun, and I'm contemplating going again, since the con is FREE to non-canadian artist alley types. There were also a lot of empty tables.

Good convention. You all should go next year.
